Chicken Breast Recipe Tip
“Sell By” and “Use By” dates

The “sell by” and “use by” dates associated with food are useful and necessary, but not true indicators of freshness or quality. With chicken, you need to employ your own checks, such as looking for excess liquid in the package, freezer burn, bad odor, and poor color.

Chicken Breast Recipe Tip
Mustard Powder

Powdered mustard is simply finely ground mustard seeds. There are different type of mustard seeds and different types of mustard powder. The powder is a nice way to add a bit of bite to dishes. Mustard powder is found with other jarred spices, and will keep about 6 months when kept in an airtight container in a cool, dry location.
