Crockpot Chicken and Sausage

Slow cooked chicken and sausage recipe features sautéed chopped onion, crushed garlic, chicken breasts, and hot sausage combined in slow cooker with chopped red and green bell pepper, sliced mushrooms, chopped zucchini, stewed tomatoes, tomato paste, Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes. Dish Is cooked on low heat for 7 to 8 hours and served hot.

Ingredients -

1 tablespoon Olive Oil
4 Garlic Cloves, crushed
1 Medium White or Yellow Onions, chopped
1 Red Bell Pepper, chopped
1 Green Bell Pepper, chopped
1 Small Zucchini, chopped
1 can Sliced Mushrooms
1 can Italian Stewed Tomatoes
1 (6 ounces) can Tomato Paste
1/4 pound Hot Sausage
2 Whole Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
Red Pepper Flakes, to taste

 
Preparation:

1. Add the onion, garlic and oil to a skillet and sauté until light brown.

2. Add the chicken and sausage and brown until done.

3. Drain the excess oil and add to the crock pot.

4. Add the remaining ingredients to the crock pot and stir well to combine.

5. Cover and cook for 7 to 8 hours on Low.

6. Serve and enjoy.
